The District of Columbia Commission on the Arts & Humanities awarded me a $35,000 Curatorial Grant to partner with the National Veterans Art Museum (NVAM) in Chicago to exhibit artworks from their collection and nationwide artworks from those who served, are serving, will serve, their families and careproviders. A total of 154 artworks were on display from 125 artists in Spring, 2025 in the Commission’s I Street Gallery. In addition, funding included workshops with the 8-18 year old 8th&I I Young Marines Unit, residents of the Armed Forces Retirement Home and DC Veterans Administration Medical Center, Community Living Center. The Centerpiece of the Exhibition was the Quilt of Valor made by the ladies of the DC Chapter from uniforms donated by the Ft Myer and Air Force Spouses Club Thrift Shops.
